Melbourne, A Reimagined Hotel Experience Awaits

Susie was lucky enough to go to a Hotel Inspection followed by Lunch at one of Melbourne’s newest hotels – The Next Hotel Melbourne

Located in the impressive 80 Collins Street Prescient with the main entrance on Little Collins St she headed up to the reception area where they were greeted by the hotels General Manager.

They were whisked away to check out some of the rooms. There are various types to suit all travellers.

The Next Room is their lead in room equipped with a Queen Bed and located on the lower floors of the hotel- even though it is their “Standard Room” you will not be disappointed.

The Next Level Room is located on the higher floors and comes with an Extra Large King Bed ( perfect for us tall humans! )

The Club Room also comes with a King bed and the added benefits of the Next Club located on level 2

If you have a tribe then there is also One Bedroom and Two Bedroom Suites

The rooms are understated, sophisticated, warm and with slight nods to the heritage of the hotels original site and surrounds. Such as the Fashion House and the Horse Bazaar.

Impressive indeed as you can see from the photos. All rooms come with all the things you’d expect from a modern boutique hotel, French Linen, Mini-Bar, espresso machines smart TVs, high speed wifi and even in room cocktails from spirits made on site.

But wait till you get to the bathroom, rain showers, Hunter Lab amenities and a Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer! What!! Oh and if you take the 2 Bedroom Suite it also has the Dyson Hairwrap Styler & Straightener… perfect for the girls weekender!

Back down to Level 3 we went, the top of the main stairwell (impressive stairwell btw) where we were seated at the Madonna Restaurant for lunch.

There were many courses of delicate seasonal food and topped off by an ice cream cannoli and a nice glass of Chardonnay.

The main lobby is sophisticated with soft furnishings, comfortable chairs and lounges with view towards the 80 Collins Prescient.

Back on level 3 we headed to the Barrel Room – where they distill all their own spirits on site. We grabbed a comfy chair in the corner nook and settled in to sample a cocktail ( or two! )

Totally impressed by this hotel, just had a really lovely feel about it and really can cater for all types of travellers whether it be business or leisure.

Get in touch with us to book a weekend in the City OR if you prefer some peace then just book mid-week and enjoy. Our City is still quiet while many work from home so it’s a little sanctuary you can really have to yourself!
