Hello Travellers ,
We made it to Summer and, more importantly, to the end of 2020!
My goodness, what a year it’s been! Like you, we are very much looking forward to seeing that clock tick over on the 31st of December and welcoming in the New Year and a fresh start. We know there is still a long way to go before life returns to normal and for our industry, in particular, the road is even longer. Yet we remain positive and hope 2021 brings a whole lot more joy (and holidays) to us all.
It’s great we can all start traveling around this great land of ours again and I personally cannot wait to board a plane and jet off into the sunset! Our family is off to Kirra Beach instead of Coolum this year (shock horror!). We did get approval for the change of location from Jannene even though she loves Coolum, but I know if we have a nice view of the beach and the family is all together we will have a great time.
I wanted to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to those clients who have booked their domestic holidays and travels with us, it means a lot and it is greatly appreciated. It’s so nice to be booking holidays again instead of unravelling them
If you missed the memo, we currently have a Domestic Booking Bonus for new bookings made prior to 24th December. As a small token of our appreciation you will receive a $50 Gift Card of your choice for bookings over $1500 (not valid for flight only bookings), so remember to lock in your plans before Christmas to take advantage!
In 2021 we can also hopefully look forward to attending all those festivals and events we so dearly missed this year…. have a look here for some of the exciting events happening next year around the country.
Accommodation for December/January is pretty much booked out countrywide. I can see this becoming an ongoing issue until we have other travel bubbles opening for us, all of Australia needs a holiday! If you are thinking about getting away next year then I urge you to book (with us of course) sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment

As we draw closer to Christmas, please note our Christmas & New Year Trading hours below:
- Last Monday in-store will be 21st December 10-4 pm
All consultants will still be working remotely until the 24th of December. (Except Robyn who will take her leave early from the 19th).
- We will all be on leave from 1 pm on the 24th of December and back (remotely) on the 4th of January 2021.
- I (Susie) will always be contactable (except for Happy Hour each day!) during the holiday period so please call or email if you need to.
- I will then be back (in real life) at the office Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 10 am -4 pm from the 11th of January.
Robyn, Rochelle & Nene will still be working remotely and will frequent the office as needed so it is important that you confirm an appointment time
with them.
If you need to leave the country at the moment you still need to apply for an exemption with Home Affairs. Here is the link with the info and to apply. We can book flights at the moment for people that qualify for the exemption and can help you navigate travelling the COVID way. IATA (International Air Transport Association) also has some good information regarding air travel here . Rules can be everchanging wherever you may be going so be sure to keep yourself informed. Inbound travel still remains extremely hard.
Travel Insurance is still essential for domestic trips.
Consider unexpected cancellations (non-pandemic related), losing your Gucci sunnies, or the value of an included rental car excess.
