Hello Travellers,
We can’t quite believe it’s December and nearing the end of yet another year, and what a year it’s been!
Whilst this year’s chaos has been so much nicer than the last two years, it still hasn’t been an easy road. Booking and managing flights really is that much more difficult and time-consuming than it used to be. Schedule changes, cancelled flights, lost luggage, and the list goes on…. However, we do have to admit it’s great to be back planning holidays and seeing you all again; we really love what we do, even with all the extra challenges!
I’m going to keep this newsletter brief as, if you are anything like me at this crazy time of year, you may not even know what day it is!
Given the sheer volume of bookings we have been dealing with, which quite frankly is unsustainable, I am excited to welcome another shiny new consultant to the East Ivanhoe Team.
Sharon has over 10 years of experience as a Travel Consultant but had an (unwanted) break from the industry when the pandemic started. She is quickly finding her groove again and is ready to take on any new business. You can read more about Sharon below.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
We do love a bit of the Christmas Crazy in our office and although Robyn is very strict on not putting up the Christmas decorations before the 1st of December, she is the first one to bust out Mariah on the office stereo!
I have included our Christmas and New Year trading hours below for your reference and we will all be attempting to have an actual break so we are nice and fresh for when we return in 2023. We will, of course, be around for urgent assistance for those travelling over this time. As usual, I will send the details again closer to Christmas with contact details.

MEET SHARON
(Sharon Seddon)
Sharon has worked in the travel industry since 2010 .
Sharon loves travelling throughout South East Asia and has been lucky enough to have a range of wonderful experiences from cruising Halong Bay Vietnam, soaking up the sun in Thailand and standing in awe at the remarkable Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia at sunrise.
One of Sharon’s most memorable travel experiences is travelling on the Rocky Mountaineer through Canada where she was ableto observe wild bears in their natural habitat and enjoy a helicopter flight with amazing views over the Canadian Rockies. Other highlights in her career include her driving holiday throughout Ireland & Germany and marvelling at the famous Machu Picchu, Peru.
Sharon prides herself on her attention to detail and tailor-making itineraries to best suit her client’s needs to create memorable holidays. Next on Sharon’s bucket list is Central America which she is hoping to do in 2023.
